QAagency is delighted to be working with a well-established beverage manufacturer based in Harrogate to recruit a Quality Coordinator. This is a development role within the Quality department, supporting production teams to maintain and improve quality standards while helping manage the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator will take an active role across quality assurance, food safety and compliance. The position covers internal auditing, non-conformance management, traceability, HACCP, document control and supporting investigations into quality issues. The successful candidate will also provide deputy support to the Quality Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage finished goods and packaging non-conformances, support root cause investigations and monitor corrective actions through to completion.
  • Lead the site internal audit programme and support external audits, including preparation, CAPA management and ongoing compliance activities.
  • Plan and lead traceability exercises, mass balances and mock recalls while supporting HACCP, food safety controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality documentation, SOPs and work instructions, support production teams through auditing and coaching and deputise for the Quality Manager when required.

You will ideally have the following experience

  • Previous experience within a Quality Assurance and/or microbiology laboratory role, ideally within food, beverage or wider FMCG manufacturing.
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems, with HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 preferred.
  • Internal Auditor training with experience of audits, non-conformances, corrective actions and quality management systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the confidence to work across departments, challenge standards where appropriate and manage competing priorities.

The salary is up to £37,000 depending on experience, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an hour’s lunch break. Flexibility will be required to meet the needs of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Due to the requirement to occasionally visit off-site boreholes, candidates with a driving licence and their own transport would be advantageous.
