QAagency is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing business based in Salford for a Quality Control Technician. Our client has experienced significant growth over the past year and this position will sit within a newly established Quality department.
Reporting inspection findings and working closely with production teams and management, you will help ensure incoming materials and manufactured products meet the required quality standards. Materials are sourced from external suppliers and the company’s overseas business units.
Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming materials and outgoing products, using QC measuring tools to check dimensions and functionality against CAD drawings, tolerances and product specifications. You will maintain accurate inspection records, document non-conformances and work with colleagues to investigate and resolve quality issues. You will also provide guidance on quality control processes to support consistent product quality throughout manufacturing.
The role requires the ability to read CAD drawings and interpret tolerances, alongside experience using QC measuring tools and quality sampling plans or systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is also required.
Desirable experience
- Previous experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection.
- Experience within sheet metal, fabrication, machining or engineering manufacturing.
- A forklift or stacker licence, although this is not essential.
