QAagency is delighted to be working with a well established industrial manufacturer based in Gloucester. The business operates within a regulated manufacturing environment and is now looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Engineer Manager with responsibility for quality management across three sites. Each site currently operates its own quality system. Your remit will be to unify these into a consistent, robust group-wide framework while maintaining site level compliance and operational effectiveness.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take full responsibility for the quality management system across the site. You will lead internal audits, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001. The role combines strategic oversight with hands on involvement across production, supplier management and customer quality matters.
You will determine, negotiate and implement in house quality procedures, standards and specifications. You will ensure customer requirements are understood and met, set internal service standards and define quality expectations for raw materials and suppliers. You will work closely with operational teams to establish effective systems and procedures, monitor performance through statistical analysis and act as a catalyst for change to improve overall business performance and profitability. The position also involves preparing management and technical reports, identifying training needs and supporting the achievement of professional industry certification.
Key requirements
- Proven experience managing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 within a manufacturing environment
- Strong internal audit experience and ability to drive measurable quality improvements
- Confident communicator able to engage at all levels across the business and with customers and suppliers
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a positive and pragmatic approach
