QAagency is delighted to be working with a well established UK import business in the tools sector based in Middleton, Manchester. Due to continued growth, the company is creating a brand new Product Compliance and Quality Assurance Coordinator position to take ownership of regulatory compliance and product quality across its imported product range. This is a part time, office based role offering flexibility within a Monday to Friday framework.
Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will take responsibility for ensuring all imported products comply with UK and EU regulations including GPSR, WEEE and packaging requirements. You will manage technical documentation, oversee quality control processes and work closely with suppliers to ensure products meet required standards prior to shipment. This is a hands on role where you will build and shape compliance processes within a growing business, while maintaining accurate records, certifications and regulatory submissions.
You will monitor and ensure compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation and other relevant UK and EU legislation. You will manage and maintain technical files and compliance documentation for all products, coordinate quality control checks and ensure products meet safety and quality standards. You will oversee WEEE compliance and environmental packaging requirements, liaise with suppliers regarding regulatory standards and prepare reports and certifications for submission to relevant authorities. You will also keep up to date with regulatory changes and communicate implications internally.
Requirements
- Previous experience in product compliance, quality assurance or a related regulatory role
- Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations including GPSR and WEEE
- Experience managing technical files and compliance documentation
- Confident liaising with suppliers and external bodies
Desirable experience includes familiarity with RoHS, CE marking, product testing and certification processes.
