QAagency is delighted to be working with a leading UK manufacturer of electronic and mechanical components. With a strong reputation for technical innovation and global reach, the company designs and manufactures precision-built equipment from their head office in Eastbourne, East Sussex. As part of their continued commitment to quality and compliance, they are now seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead and strengthen their integrated quality, health, safety and environmental systems.

As the QHSE Manager, you will oversee a site-based team and take responsibility for all aspects of QMS compliance, HSE regulations and continuous improvement across a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Operations Director, the role will cover ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards, while supporting customer visits, product audits and global subsidiary coordination. You will be confident engaging with cross-functional teams, experienced in both QA and QC operations, and capable of supporting technical investigations using structured quality tools.

  • Manage the QMS and ensure site-wide compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.
  • Lead internal and customer-facing quality activities including PPAP, APQP and audit preparation.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance in an electronics and mechanical assembly environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using FMEA, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma methods.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ QHSE leadership experience in electronics or mechanical assembly.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Strong background in audit management, root cause analysis and regulatory compliance.
  • Electronics manufacturing knowledge with the ability to liaise confidently with OEM clients.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at the company’s headquarters near Eastbourne, East Sussex, working 40 hours per week with a start time between 07:00–07:30. The salary is offered at up to £75,000, plus a discretionary bonus.
